Early last week, Foton Motor Philippines turned over the 1,000th unit to J&T Express, highlighting their partnership that began four years ago.
It was pact between two giants of the industry whose every step generate effect on the economy.
So Foton chairman Rommel Sytin was right when he said they’re “not here only to sell trucks,” to the logistics powerhouse.

They’re in it together to power up several of the country’s business sectors.
“It’s very momentous for us,” said Sytin during the simple rites held at Foton’s sprawling Clark factory.
“This is beyond the 1,000 units. We are not looking at this only to sell truck at J&T, this cooperation has brought a lot of mileage also for our brand and also brings a lot to of J&T.”

The ceremony, witnessed by select members of the media including Daily Tribune’s Blast, was graced by J&T Express officials including vice president Zoe Chi.
Sytin also unveiled the company’s token of appreciation to J&T in the form of a brand new Foton Thunder pick-up.
“Today, J&T is already the leader in the logistics business in the Philippines, and we are proud to be part of that,” Sytin said.
