Beermen get Stone as import

San Miguel will bring in Tyler Stone, a veteran of the European league, when the Beermen campaign in the Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup that begins 5 November, team manager Gee Abanilla said.

Listed at 6-feet-8, Stone’s father James Bradley was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 1979.

Tyler will become the second reinforcement surnamed Stone who will suit up for the team after Diamond Stone, who had a short-lived stint.

Stone played for Rapid Romania’s Liga Nacional where he averaged 19.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

He is expected to play No. 3 and No. 4 spots to complement six-time MVP June Mar Fajardo, Mo Tautuaa and Vic Manuel.
