Yokohama buries Kaya FC

Kaya FC-Iloilo’s woes in the AFC Champions League continue as it absorbed a 0-3 loss to J1 League champion Yokohama F. Marinos at the Nissan Stadium Wednesday evening.

Kota Watanabe opened the scoreboard with a 35th-minute header before Kenyu Sugimoto added another goal for the Japanese in the 72nd minute.

Anderson Lopes added his name to the scoresheet as he scored in the 95th minute.

Kaya sank to a 0-0-3 win-draw-loss record while Yokohama is third with a 2-0-1 slate in Group G.

Both sides will meet again at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium at 8 p.m. on 8 November.
