Rondae Hollis-Jefferson’s return re-energized TNT, but he could only do it barely two quarters in the game.
The reigning Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup Best Import was ejected in the game after he accidentally hit Mike Nieto of Converge with the basketball after the import completed a dunk.
Just 42 seconds gone by in the third period, Hollis-Jefferson completed a breakaway dunk but he was still holding the basketball after the conversion and he accidentally threw it on the face of Nieto.
Hollis-Jefferson was assessed with a flagrant foul Penalty 2 as based on the PBA rules, a contact above the shoulders means automatic ejection.
“That’s one of the things we’ve discussed during the Coaches’ Meeting,” PBA commissioner Willie Marcial told DAILY TRIBUNE.
