The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines expressed delight over Jaden Dumdumaya after he recently signed letter of intent to join the University of Southern California next year.
Dumdumaya, 16, is one of the Filipino junior stalwarts along with Rianne Malixi who had earlier snagged a scholarship with Duke University.
“We are proud of these kids, we know that they can achieve even more now that they get to compete with equally talented young golfers in the States,” JGFP president Oliver Gan said.
“On behalf of JGFP chairman Tommy Manotoc, we want to congratulate Jaden.”
Dumdumaya, accompanied by parents Stan and Jenny, is seen signing the letter right at the Spartans campus gym. He is supported by sportsman Perfecto Braga who also backs up Bobe Salahog.
The young gun played for the JGFP tourney in Cebu and represented the Philippines in the IMG World Junior Golf in San Diego, California.
He also played for the country in the Cambodia Southeast Asian Games.
