Nueva Ecija jumped the gun early on CV Siniloan and didn’t look back to post its sixth straight win in the Pilipinas Super League President’s Cup just recently at the Paco Arena.

The Capitals went off to a blazing 15-0 start and their rivals couldn’t recover from there.

Five players from the Capitals wound up in double figures led by big men Michael Mabulac and Jay Collado, who tallied 13 points apiece. Emman Calo contributed 12 and Rob Celiz and Ralph Robin each came up with 10 markers in a display of balanced firepower by Nueva Ecija.

With Colado and Mabulac doing most of the damage inside the shaded lane, Nueva Ecija picked up 66 points from the paint, 20 more than their counterparts.

Rebounding has also been the strength of the Capitals, who collared 56 rebounds compared to only 43 for CV Siniloan.

Nueva Ecija’s depth was also in full display as its second and third units combined for 65 points as against only 40 for CV Siniloan.

Also posting separate victories were Novaliches and Kyusi Pablo Escobets.

The Warriors of Novaliches dumped NKT Sniper, 96-76, while Kyusi edged AO Kings, 75-70.
