Obiena captures podium finish in Wanda Diamond League

EJ Obiena kicked off his Wanda Diamond League campaign with a third place finish in the Oslo Bislett Games in Norway early Friday, 16 June.

Obiena went over 5.81 meters in one go to secure the third spot in his first tournament since hitting six meters last week at the Sparebanken Vest Bergen Jump Challenge last 10 June.

World champion Armand Duplantis of Sweden dominated the meet after posting 6.01m while United States’ Chris Nilsen came in at second place with 5.81m, surpassing Obiena via countback.
