Yuka Saso closed with a three-under-par 67 in the BMW Ladies Championship at the Oak Valley Country Club in South Korea Sunday.
The 20-year-old Filipino-Japanese finished on 11-under 277, good for a provisional share of eighth spot, 10 shots behind winner Lydia Ko of New Zealand.
She birdied the first two par-5 holes and added another on the par-3 seventh hole to reach the turn on 3-under.
Saso countered a double bogey on 12 with an eagle on 15 before parring the last three holes.
Ko, the Korean-born Kiwi, captured her 18th career LPGA Tour title, rallying from a one-stroke deficit on his way to a seven-under 65 and a four-shot win over American Andrea Lee.
It was Ko’s first victory in South Korea where she was born before moving to New Zealand at age four.
Tied for third on 16-under were Koreans Choi Hye-jin and Kim Hyo-joo and American Lilia Vu.Both Choi and Kim shot 68s in the final round.
Ko, world No. 5, started the day one shot behind overnight leader Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand who faded to a round of 74 to finish sixth.
There are three tournaments left this season, which will wrap up with the CME Group Tour Championship on 20 November in Naples, Florida.
