The highly-anticipated return of Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines is finally set as it opens its Season 10 on 12 August.
Mobile Legends developer Moonton made the announcement, saying that they anticipate another intense action with reigning champion RSG PH taking on Omega Esports in a rematch of their dramatic finale in Season 9.
Match 2 of the day would showcase a showdown between two-time MPL champion Blacklist International and fan-favorite Nexplay EVOS.
The highly-anticipated matchup between the two powerhouse squads would also mark the return of Blacklist team captain Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and star jungler Danerie James “Wise” del Rosario to the competitive scene after taking a break in Season 9.
To make matters worse for Nexplay EVOS, the power duo of OhMyV33nus and Wise will be backed by its world championship roster Edward Jay “EDWARD” Dapadap, Salid “Hadji” Imam, and M3 Mobile Legends World Championship MVP Kiel Calvin “OHEB” Soriano.
“A few more weeks and the battles start at MPL Philippines Season 10,” Moonton said in an announcement.
MPL Season 6 champion Bren Esports, meanwhile, would get a chance to test the waters with its revamped roster as it faces M3 Mobile Legends World Championship runner-up ONIC PH on Day 2.
Once feared for its mix of veterans and up-and-coming players, ONIC made a major change in its roster before season 10 as it retained only Nowee “Ryota” Caballo from its roster last season.
It will also mark the professional debut of popular streamer Edgar “ChooxTv” Dumali, who is known for his outrageous builds such as a tank Layla.
