OG has given its blessing to its mid laner Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen to sign with another team in his bid to return to competitive play.
Topson, who was instrumental in OG’s historic back-to-back world championships in The International 8 and 9, opted to take a break from competitive play last year after his team failed to defend its title in The International 10.
But OG chief executive officer, Juan Luna, said as far as OG is concerned, Topson has already given the organization so much that they would not stop him from exploring other teams that could help him grow.
“At the end of the day, you gave OG four years of your life,” Luna told Topson.
“Four years of committing to everything. You deserve happiness and you deserve the right to choose what you want.”
“There is this core roster in OG that there are brothers forever. What they share and what they have lived, nobody can take it away from us. Topson is always going to be part of the OG family. We love him here. We hope where he is at, no matter where he plays, he eventually finds his way back home to us.”
