Juvic Pagunsan rallied with three birdies in the last 10 holes to shoot one-under-par 71 in the third round of the International Series Singapore at the Tanah Merah Country Club’s Tampines course in Singapore Saturday.
The 44-year-old Filipino had a cold start of two bogeys in the first four holes before he settled down with birdies on 9, 12, and 18 holes.
He sits on 7-under 209 in a tie for 20th place.
Miguel Tabuena, on the other hand, shot 69 to improve to 4-under, good for a share of 41st.
Starting on 10, Tabuena reached the turn on 3-under after a birdie on 16 and an eagle on 18. He mixed two birdies with two bogeys to end 54 holes on 4-under.
Phachara Khongwatmai of Thailand shot 69 to catch Malaysian Gavin Green on top on 14-under. Green carded a 72.
Tied on third on 13-under were Chinese-Taipei’s Chan Shih-chang and Thai Nitithorn Thippong who fired 66 and 68, respectively.
