The 28-year-old Filipina, who shot a 68 Friday, was 1-over through 13 holes after a bogey on 4 but made four straight birdies from 14 to get to-under par.
However, she bogeyed the par-3 18th to slip to a tie for 13th on 138, four shots behind co-leaders Jessica Welch, Robyn Choi, Jillian Hollis, and Hyo Joon Jang.
Welch fired a 65, Choi and Hollis shot identical 66s and Hyo carded a 68.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s third round of the US PGA’s season-ending Tour Championship was suspended Saturday due to lightning in the area of East Lake in Atlanta.
