Lloyd Jefferson Go settled for second place after losing in a playoff with Chinese Chen Guxin at the close of the BRG Open golf championship at the BRG Da Nang golf resort in Vietnam Friday.

Go found the water on his approach in the first extra hole, handing the title to Chen who scored a par.

Both Go and Chen finished on 8-under 208 in a tie.

It marked the second straight week that Go came tantalizingly close to winning his first pro crown.

He made three birdies to make the turn on 3-under before cooling down with one birdie against two bogeys coming home.

Alone in third was Matt Killen who carded a 70.

Fidel Concepcion, the only other Filipino who survived the cut, submitted a 77 for a share of 35th on 10-over 226.

Over in Thailand, Harmie Constantino turned in a 74 to settle for 30th place in the SAT TWT Open Road to World Ranking at Kabinburi Sports Club.

Constantino finished on 2-over, 20 shots behind Patcharajutar Kongkraphan who sizzled for 65.

Constantino made two birdies against four bogeys.

Princess Superal, on the other hand, failed to sink a single birdie in a five-bogey 77.

Superal stood on 5-over in a share of 31st spot.

Meanwhile, Laurea Duque dropped two shots in the last five holes to settle for 3-over-par 75 and joint 18th spot in the Thailand Ladies Amateur Open at Amata Springs Country Club in Thailand Friday.

Duque, who is backed by San Miguel Corp. and BMW Philippines, finished the 54-hole contest on 8-over-par 224.

She went 2-over after back-to-back bogeys from 3 but finished the front with a birdie to reach the turn on 1-over. A double bogey on 14 brought her to 3-over before finishing with birdie-bogey.
