TNC Pro Team is drawing inspiration from Omega Esports following a shaky start to its Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines Season 10 campaign.
TNC’s Seloe “Benthings” Maglaque, Daniel “SDzyz” Chu, Jomarie “Escalera” de los Santos, Mark “Kramm” Rusiana, Robee “Yasuwo” Pormocille and Salman “KingSalman” Macarambon had a lot of hype after they exceeded expectations in Season 9 with a top three finish in the tournament.
But come Season 10, TNC lost five consecutive matches and only won one game.
The streak finally came to an end on Week 4 Day 1 of MPL Season 10 when they pulled off a shocker by defeating the then top seed ONIC PH via 2-0 sweep.
“I am so happy because we really needed a win to boost our confidence and brighten our hope. We built ourselves in meetings talking about what we lacked and needed,” TNC team captain Benthings said.
“We added extra effort like adding scrimms and reduced our sleep to six hours so we could RG and catch up. Maybe because we did not change our players, our idea (of the game) was the same so there were no new ideas. We had to find those ideas in RGs and then combine them all.”
TNC’s Mobile Legends coach Jemson Glean “Scholar” Ignacio, meanwhile, said that the squad is drawing inspiration from its counterpart in Omega Esports.
It can be remembered that the fan-favorite Omega suffered the same fate in Season 9 as they struggled match after match in the regular season of the league.
