Lloyd Jefferson Go barged into the Top 10 standings of the OB Golf Invitational at the Jabebeka Golf and Country Club in Sertajaya, Barat, Indonesia Thursday.
The 27-year-old Filipino, hoping to sustain his momentum of two consecutive runner-up finishes in the Asian Development Tour, fired an eagle-aided three-under par 67 to climb into a share of sixth place on 7-under 203.
Go, however, remains eight shots behind Thai Suteepat Prateeptienchai who also carded a 67.
After opening with four straight pars, Go birdied 5 and bogeyed 6 before scoring an eagle on the par-5 seventh hole to make the turn on 2-under.
He dropped a shot on 11 but bounced back with birdies on 15 and 17 to tie with Indonesian Jonathan Wijono and Australian Kade McBride who shot 67 and 69, respectively.
Go is hoping to earn enough points to land a spot in the Asian Tour next season.
Suteepat collected five birdies against two bogeys to take a one-shot lead over Malaysian Ervin Chang who had a 65.
