F2 Logistics will be packing serious firepower when it makes a comeback in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference next month.
The Cargo Movers, who skipped the Invitational Conference, announced the return of Filipino-American hotshot Kalei Mau and a familiar reinforcement in American Lindsay Stalzer for the import-laden conference slated to open on 8 October on their social media handle Tuesday night.
Teasers of their return were posted by the team on its social media account over the weekend, thrilling the loyal fans of F2 Logistics.
The 38-year-old Stalzer is back to fulfill an unfinished business after the pandemic and the eventual closing of the Philippine Superliga denied her a chance to lead the Cargo Movers to glory.
Stalzer, a dangerous 6-foot-1 winger, joined F2 Logistics in 2019 but she and Venezuelan partner MJ Perez failed to help the Cargo Movers win the PSL Grand Prix that season after a sorry three-game series loss to Petron.
The veteran internationalist returned the following year for redemption but her 2020 Grand Prix stint came to an abrupt end because of the pandemic.
Mau will suit up for F2 Logistics for the first time after sitting out the Cargo Movers’ debut in the Open Conference of the country’s first and only professional women’s volleyball league last March.
The former PSL Most Valuable Player is coming off a stint in the Athletes Unlimited in the US.
Mau won two titles with the Cargo Movers in the PSL and was a vital cog in F2 Logistics’ Philippine National Volleyball Federation Champions League championship run last year.
With the two grizzled veterans back, expect F2 Logistics to make a serious run for the PVL crown.
