Salami Golf rode on EJ Casintahan’s 36 points at the Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club to take the first-round lead in Flight A at the start of the 12th Davao Eaglemasters golf team championships in Davao City Thursday.
Jessie Tan added 30 while Gamirin Jerico Bajo and Jose Addy Briones chipped in 29 and 28, respectively as Salami Golf totaled 123 points, seven points ahead of Team Foreplay 2-UBI. At far third was Paraiso with 103.
In Flight B, Team Recovery 5.30 1 opened a seven-point lead over Team Dencap after amassing 105.
The tournament, which lured close to 800 players, ends on Sunday.
