Ronald de los Reyes outshone other reservists and enlisted personnel when he ruled the 66th Pre-Anniversary Naked Run 2022 at the Naval Special Operations Command headquarters in Sangley Point, Cavite.
De los Reyes, the Motoring editor of Daily Tribune, clocked 36 minutes and 36 seconds in ruling the 500-meter open water swim and five-kilometer run event that was held in celebration of the 66th anniversary of NAVSOCOM.
Aside from Delos Reyes, also emerging as finisher was celebrity fellow reservist JC Tiuseco.
De los Reyes is currently a reservist for the 21st Naval Group Reserve under the Naval Reserve Command while serving as newspaper editor and covering countless events in the motoring industry.
The “Naked Warrior Run” is the annual tradition of NAVSOCOM that aims not only to display the mental and physical prowess of the country’s armed forces, but also to highlight sportsmanship, cooperation and camaraderie.
The event was once again open to the public after a two-year hiatus and was successfully organized with the Special Operating Forces of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Also participating were enlisted personnel from the SOCOM AFP, Joint Special Operations Group, Camp Aguinaldo, Special Reaction Unit, Presidential Security Group, Philippine Coast Guard Special Operation Force, Philippine National Police Special Action Force, Force Reconnaissance Group, 1st Naval Waterfront Construction Battalion, NCBDE and Retirees as well as reservists from the Naval Reserve Command and friends and family of NAVSOCOM members.
