Converge banked on its Magnificent Seven to pull off a come-from-behind victory over Rain or Shine, 102-101 — extending its winning streak to seven and remaining as the hottest team in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on 13 November at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

“This is good for our standing and, at the same time, it builds our competitiveness,” said Converge coach Aldin Ayo, who drew double-digit scores from seven players for the FiberXers’ rally from 17 points down.

Jeron Teng led the way with 20 points, while import Quincy Miller added 19.

Rookie Justin Arana scored seven of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead basket with 15 seconds left.

RK Ilagan hit eight of his 11 markers while Aljun Melecio, Abu Tratter and Mav Ahanmisi, also tallied 11 each for the FiberXers, which stayed at the No. 3 spot and improved their win-loss record to 8-2.
