Thais send Azkals crashing

The Philippine Azkals suffered a humiliating 0-4 defeat at the hands of dfending champion Thailand in the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup at the Thammasat Stadium in Pathum Thani, Thailand Monday evening.

The War Elephants banked on the brace of
Teerasil Dangda in the second and 4oth minutes for a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.

Goals fromm Adisak Kraisorn and Suphanan Bureerat in the 57th and 63rd minutes, respectively, made sure the Thais remain unblemished in Group A as they finish with a 2-0 record.

The Azkals, who now have a 1-2 card, will have to beat Indonesia at 2 January 2023 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium to keep their semifinal hopes alive.
