Biazon leads Mango Tee ceremonial tee-offs

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon will lead the ceremonial tee-offs on Thursday to usher in the 35th Mango Tee member-guest tournament at the Alabang Country Club.

The ceremonial tee-offs also include representatives from the host club and participating sponsors.

Joining Biazon at 5 p.m. on the 10th tee are ACC president Abelardo Villacorta, ACC chairman Brian Cabral, King Stehmeier of the Mango Tee committee, Gabby Cui, assistant vice president of SMART; Gary Teves, board director of Petron; Abelardo Mondonedo, senior vice president of Jewelmer; Juanchit Jose, president of The Turf Company; Jaye Escuardo, general manager of Pacsports; Raffy Mapua, chief executive officer of Srixon;

Ana Luisa Mendoza, marketing director of Golf Depot; Jake Fieta, president of Airport House of Wines & Liquor; Anthony Almeda, CEO of NGCP; Joseph Sy, CEO of Global Ferronickel; and Albert Arcilla, president of Volvo Phils. and MG Phils.

Preceding the ceremonial tee-offs is an 18-hole goodwill game featuring sponsors and guests.

The six-day tournament, which stakes P36 million worth of prizes and giveaways, kicks off on Monday.

Four vehicles will be at stake as hole-in-one prizes — a Mercedes Benz GLB 200 Progressive on the sixth hole, Volvo hybrid on the eighth, Lexus on the 12th, and a Mitsubishi Montero on the 15th.

Other hole-in-one prizes include four golf carts, including a Gransportivo, five motorcycles, four P100,000 cash prizes, one donated by G&W Clubshares, and two business-class tickets for two courtesy of Starlux.

Another two cars — a 2023 Nissan Kicks E-Power VE electric car and a 2022 MG ZS 1.5 Alpha AT — will be raffled off to lucky participants.

Major prizes include business-class tickets for two to Europe and Asia via Starlux, jewelry worth P500,000 from Jewelmer.

Also to be raffled off are a Samsung Bespoke Air Dresser, a pair of Samsung 70-inch UHD television sets, Apple Watch Ultra, Samsung QLED TV set, Breville Barista Express coffee maker, iPAD 10th gen 256GB, and Apple Watch Series 8.

Minor prizes include a two-night stay Discovery Primea, AirPods MagSafe charging case, Kelvinator 4 cu.ft. refrigerator and 100 golf balls.

The event’s presenters are Smart, Petron, San Miguel and Jewelmer.

The Turf Company, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, Philippine Business Bank/Zesto, Merry Mart and Global Ferronickel are the major sponsors.

Also supporting the Mango Tee as premium sponsors are Unilab and Jewelmer.
