Hardly any obstacle for Team Philippines’ gold run

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia – The Philippine national obstacle race team picked up two golds and two silver medals in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games here at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center Saturday.

Precious Cabuya took home the gold medal in the women’s individual event after completing the course in 32.73 seconds, which is also a new world record.

She defeated teammate Kaizen dela Serna, who settled for silver with 35.52 seconds.

In the men’s individual event, Mark Julius Rodelas also got the gold medal after clocking in at 25.19 seconds.

He bested 2019 SEA Games champion Kevin Pascua, who finished the course in 26.81 seconds.
