The ICTSI Luisita Championship has assembled one of the strongest casts in recent memory led by defending champion Miguel Tabuena and four top guns chasing a second victory in the current Philippine Golf Tour season.
The P2-million event will be held at the Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac starting on Tuesday.
Tabuena is coming off an impressive performance in the Asian Tour where he captured The DGC Open in come-from-behind fashion and posted a third Top 10 finish in the World City Championship the following week.
The 28-year-old Filipino currently ranks second in the Asian Tour Order of Merit.
In-form Tony Lascuna, fresh from his victory in the second ICTSI Caliraya Springs Championship in Cavinti, Laguna last month, is among four leg champion seeking a second title this season.
The others are The Country Club Invitational back-to-back champion Guido van der Valk, Bacolod leg titlist Ira Alido and Iloilo winner Rupert Zaragosa.
Some of the big names include Asian Tour regulars Angelo Que and Lloyd Jefferson Go, Clyde Mondilla, Michael Bibat, Zanieboy Gialon, Reymon Jaraula, Jhonnel Ababa, Jay Bayron, Marvin Dumandan, Gerald Rosales and legend Frankie Miñoza.
The event also coincides with the 54-hole Ladies PGT.
