Phl obstacle relay teams complete sweep

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia – The Philippine obstacle relay teams completed the sweep after dominating the team obstacle race at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at the Chroy Changvar Convention Center here on Sunday.

The men’s relay team of Ahgie Radan, Elias Tabac, Mervin Guarte, and Jay-ar de Castro clocked 24.47 seconds to win against Malaysia’s 25.15 seconds.

The women’s team of Sandi Menchi Abahan, Mecca Cortizano, Milky Mae Tejares, and Maritess Nocyao also bagged the gold in the women’s team relay with a time of 33.73 seconds to beat Indonesia’s 35.06 seconds.

The Philippine obstacle team swept all four events after Mark Julius Rodelas and Precious Cabuya dominated the men’s and women’s individual races, respectively, on Saturday.
