The largest event of its kind in the country, JIMNYFEST 2023 was held last month, from 21 to 23 April at the stunning Crystal Beach Resort in Zambales.
The Jimny Hub, the event’s organizer, succeeded in bringing together more than 110 Jimnys and 250 participants from diverse locations such as Davao, Tuguegarao, Bicol, Baguio and La Union.
The three-day event began with an adventure trail ride to Lake Mapanuepe, providing participants with the opportunity to explore the breathtaking foothills of Mount Pinatubo. As Jimnys of all shapes, sizes and colors wound their way through the scenic terrain, they showcased their unique builds and the skills of their drivers.
This camaraderie among Jimny enthusiasts was evident throughout the event, with participants sharing their experiences, knowledge and love for their vehicles.
The Jimny’s popularity stems from its versatility and ability to tackle a variety of terrains. With a rich history dating back to the 1970s, the Jimny has undergone multiple transformations, each iteration only adding to its appeal. Its compact size, lightweight build and robust off-road capabilities make it an ideal choice for both urban dwellers and those looking for weekend adventures.

At JIMNYFEST 2023, The Jimny Hub introduced two new brands: Showa Garage, a premium Japanese aftermarket parts brand, and Rainbow Auto, specializing in custom performance parts for Jimnys.
The event was supported by a slew of sponsors, including Rugged Rigs, ARB Accessories, Bradley Wheels, Front Runner, Coleman, Overland Kings, SR Performance, Motul, THOR, Waterport, Though Dog, CTEK, Powerhouse, Mother’s and Corkcicle. The event offered much more than just showcasing vehicles and sponsor booths. It was a family affair, with attendees bringing their kids and even pets to the beach camp. Families and friends participated in relay games, tug of war and beach volleyball, and enjoyed bonfires, creating lasting memories. The atmosphere was lively, with an abundance of prizes, raffle giveaways and freebies for everyone. The night concluded with a spectacular fireworks show, a fitting end to a successful event.
