The Ford Ranger Raptor has been a fan favorite in the Philippine automotive market since its initial launch in 2018.

Known for its impressive off-road capabilities and muscular design, the Ranger Raptor quickly became a must-have vehicle for off-road enthusiasts and adventurers alike. With the 2023 next-gen Ford Ranger Raptor teased during MIAS 2023, anticipation for the new model is at an all-time high.

Ford Philippines reveals the new look of the next-gen Ranger Raptor but remained tight-lipped with details.

Ford Philippines has remained tight-lipped about what we can expect from the new Ranger Raptor, but given the success of the previous model, we can only imagine that it will be an even more capable and impressive vehicle.

The 2018 Ford Ranger Raptor was powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine, which produced 213 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It was paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system, making it an ideal choice for off-road adventures.

The old Ranger Raptor also featured Fox Racing shocks, a Terrain Management System, and a reinforced chassis that allowed it to handle rough terrain with ease. The vehicle’s muscular exterior was also a standout feature, with a wide grille, flared wheel arches, and rugged bumpers.

Despite the previous model’s success, it was not without its issues.

One of the main criticisms of the 2018 Ford Ranger Raptor was its price point, which was higher than many of its competitors.

Some drivers found the ride to be a bit harsh, which could make it less comfortable for everyday use.

Additionally, there was a recall regarding the 10-speed transmission that affected the Ranger and Everest model ranges.

Based on Ford’s recent BIMS 2023 showing, it looks like the Philippines is still getting the same 210 hp 2.0-liter biturbo lump and 10-speed from the T6 Raptor.

One area where we can expect to see improvements is in the vehicle’s technology features.

With the rapid advancements in automotive technology in recent years, the new Ranger Raptor will likely offer more advanced features, such as a larger touchscreen display, smartphone integration, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Fortunately, we don’t have to wait too long as Ford is launching the next-gen Ranger Raptor on Thursday, 18 May, and has announced the sixth installment of its Island Conquest Event the following day at the Arca South Interactive Park in Taguig City.

The event will offer up the Ranger Raptor for public test drives, along with its stablemates the Everest, Ranger and Territory.
