Malixi stays inside Top 10

Rianne Malixi shot a second-straight two-under-par 70 to remain inside the Top 10 after two rounds in the BMT Emergency Open at the Beaumont Country Club in Beaumont, Texas on Thursday.

The 16-year-old amateur made four birdies against two bogeys to keep a share of eighth spot with Thai Chakansim Khamborn and American Kathleen Sumner who carded a 71 and 68, respectively.

Sunshine Baraquiel, the other Filipina in the field, made the cut on 1-over after a 72.

Thai Ou Olankitkunchai sizzled for a 64 to build a five-shot lead on 15-under.

Canadian Mary Parson was running second on 10-under following a 68 while Korean Bi Shin took third on 9-under after a 66.
