There will be six Filipinos seeing action when the Epson Tour returns to the Great Lakes State following an off week for the 12th annual Island Resort Championship in Harris, Michigan. The fan-favorite event will be played from 23-25 June at Sweetgrass Golf Club.
Clariss Guce, Bianca Pagdanganan Pauline del Rosario, Abegail Arevalo, Chanelle Avaricio and Samantha Bruce put themselves in the mix in the tourney.
The 156-player field will compete for $225,000 in a 54-hole stroke play format, with a cut being made to the top 60 and ties after Saturday’s second round.
Tournament admission is $10 and includes access to all three tournament rounds. All three tournament rounds will also be streamed on www.epsontour.com and https://gamekast.live/.
Among the notables competing are 2023 Epson Tour Winners Miranda Wang (IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa), Gigi Stoll (Casino Del Sol Golf Classic), Savannah Vilaubi (Copper Rock Championship), Jenny Coleman (IOA Golf Classic presented by LPT Realty), Jiwon Jeon (Inova Mission Inn Resort and Club Championship), and Alena Sharp (Champions Fore Change Invitational).
Epson Tour Race for the Card Top 10 players like Natasha Andrea Oon (No. 2), Gigi Stoll (No. 3), Jenny Coleman (No. 4), Savannah Vilaubi (No. 6), Roberta Liti (No. 7), Jiwon Jeon (No. 8), Alena Sharp (No. 9), and Kathleen Scavo (No. 10) are also featured.
Past Champions Ssu-Chia Cheng (2022), Daniela Iacobelli (2019), and Kim Kaufman (2013) are also there to vie for top honors including sponsor Invites Leila Raines, Kate Brody, and Tess Hackworthy, as well as Michigan connections Kate Brody (MI Native), Sarah White (MI Native), Destiny Lawson (Ferris State University), and Ashley Lau (University of Michigan).
