Chevrolet Philippines, also known as The Covenant Car Company Inc., has officially launched the next-generation 2024 Trax. This new crossover SUV boasts bigger and bolder dimensions, ready to command the roads with its strengthened character.
It manages to perfectly blend the practicality of a compact car with the space and utility you would usually find in a larger SUV. The 2024 Trax arrives with an upgraded range of specifications, aiming to inspire confidence on the road for those seeking to make their mark in life.
Interestingly, the Philippines becomes the first Southeast Asian country to launch this new generation crossover SUV, as highlighted by Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla, president and CEO of TCCCI-Chevrolet Philippines. Arcilla conveyed his pride in the introduction of the new Trax into the local lineup of Chevrolet vehicles.
This 2024 model isn’t just bigger and bolder; it also showcases more refined characteristics, reflecting Chevrolet’s revolutionary design philosophy and pioneering technologies.
According to Arcilla, the 2024 Trax sets a new standard for crossovers in the Philippines. This is the first among many new models that TCCCI-Chevrolet Philippines plans to launch in the local market, marking the advent of a new series of modern Chevy models.
These upcoming vehicles promise advanced technologies, stylish designs, and an impressive brand pedigree that should make them compelling choices for new car buyers.
General Motors in South Korea handles the manufacturing of the 2024 Chevrolet Trax. Built on GM’s global platform, it employs Chevrolet’s modern design language and leading-edge technology.
This results in a standout model in the ever-expanding segment of crossovers in the Philippines. Chevrolet is offering the Trax in three distinct variants: LT, Redline and RS.
Ernesto Ortiz, president and managing director of General Motors’ Strategic Markets, Alliances and Distributors, praised the new model saying, “The New Generation Trax is a global model that embodies the Spirit of Chevrolet, representing our brand’s objective to provide exceptional vehicles around the world.” He is optimistic about the model’s performance in the Philippines, expecting it to enjoy the same success it has experienced in the US, Canada, Mexico and South Korea.
The heart of the 2024 Trax is a lightweight, direct injection 1.2L three-cylinder turbo DOHC-VVT engine. This power plant manages to produce up to 137 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque.
