Former Converge import Quincy Miller will be donning the jersey of TNT Tropang Giga when it competes in the East Asia Super League Season 2.

TNT head coach Jojo Lastimosa broke the news to Daily Tribune, saying that the 30-year-old Miller will be partnered with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson when they see action in the prestigious regional club tournament starting 11 October.

“He already signed,” Lastimosa said in a Viber message.

“Hope his partnership with Rondae works.”

Miller is a decorated journeyman who saw action with the Denver Nuggets, the Sacramento Kings and the Detroit Pistons in the National Basketball Association before campaigning in the G League, Serbia, Germany, Taiwan, Portugal, and Uruguay.

Then, he was recruited by Converge and made an impact when he led it to a seven-game winning streak in the Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup.

But his run with the FiberXers didn’t last long as he was suspended for arriving late in practice that hurt their chances of securing the No. 2 seed and twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

“He over-extended his birthday celebration,” said Converge coach Aldin Ayo in a previous interview.

“I think he needs more rest. He needs longer sleep so he can recover. That’s why I didn’t field him.”

All in all, the 6-foot-10 Miller wrapped up his PBA stint with 29.9 points and 16.4 rebounds per game but failed to lead the FiberXers to their first semifinal appearance.

But focus will be on his looming partnership with Hollis-Jefferson.

The do-it-all forward is known for his strong leadership after leading the Tropang Giga to the Governors’ Cup title of the previous season.

Right now, Hollis-Jefferson is with the Jordan national squad in its training camp in Lithuania while waiting for the completion of his naturalization process that will make him eligible to see action in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Manila.
