Filipino golfers touring in lucrative circuits abroad chase top honors starting Thursday.
Leading the charge are six women in the Epson Tour, the farm league of the LPGA, namely Dottie Ardina, Clariss Guce, Bianca Pagdanganan, Abby Arevalo, Pauline del Rosario and Chanelle Avaricio.
They will compete in the French Lick Charity Classic 3-6 August in Indiana.
With $335,000 total purse, the 72-hole tourney will be played in the par-71 layout. China’s Xiaowen Yin won it last year.
Miguel Tabuena will banner fellow Filipinos also in the same weekend in the Asian Tour Mandiri Indonesia Open.
Joining him in the $500,000 tourney slated at Pondok Inda Golf Course are Angelo Que, Lloyd Go, Justin Quiban and Ira Alido (on reserve).
Justin delos Santos and Juvic Pagunsan will campaign in the Japan Tour Yokohama Minato Championship which dangles a total prize of 100 million yen or roughly P38.6 million.
Delos Santos was joint 49th during last week’s Japan PGA Championships.
