After her historic goal for the Philippines in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Filipinas forward Sarina Bolden is keeping her options open as to where she would head next.

In an interview with Daily Tribune during the Filipinas’ meet-and-greet in Makati City yesterday, Bolden revealed that she might even consider hooking up with another club if there is an opportunity to do so.

Bolden, 27 is currently playing for the West Sydney Wanderers in the A-League Women in Australia where she scored one goal in her 10 appearances for the club.

She was in Makati city along with other Filipinas players Hali Long, Inna Palacios and Maya Alcantara as they took photos and signed autographs to fans.

“For what’s to come to me personally, I can go anywhere. I don’t know if it will be with the Wanderers but definitely love the A-League. But I want to keep my options open,” Bolden said.

For now, the Filipinas are now setting their sights on the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China this September and the second round of the 2024 AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Australia in October.

Bolden said the country’s first World Cup goal will definitely give them confidence as they prepare for their next tournaments.

“I think it definitely motivates us for our tournaments ahead because we built our foundation and we built our confidence. We were able to make history,” Bolden said.

“Scoring our first World Cup goal and winning our first World Cup match would only propel us forward.”
