EJ Obiena failed to make it into the top three of the Zurich Diamond League after only making it past 5.60 meters at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland Friday morning.

Obiena, 27, fell short twice in going over 5.75m and skipped to 5.85m.

The newly-minted 2023 World Athletics Championships silver medalist failed to get over his new height as he ended up dead last in the 10-man tournament.

World champion Armand Duplantis of Sweden topped the event after getting over 6.0m with ease while United States’ Sam Kendricks settled for silver with 5.95m.

American pole vaulter Chirs Nilsen, who plucked a bronze medal in the recent world championships, got third place in Zurich via countback over France’s Thibaut Collet and fellow World Athletics Championships bronze medalist Kurtis Marschall of Australia despite the three of them jumping over 5.85m.
