MINI Asia and MINI Philippines recently peeled the curtains off two stunning new models: the MINI Convertible Seaside Edition priced at P3,720,000 and the MINI Clubman Untold Edition, which comes with a retail price of P3,800,000.
Both vehicles made their debuts at grand unveilings at the MINI Bonifacio Global City Showroom in Taguig.
The MINI Convertible Seaside Edition, available in the Cooper S variant, aims to capture the essence of beachside living.
“With more than 30 years of individual style and top-down driving fun, we are excited to celebrate the anniversary of the MINI Convertible with the Seaside Edition,” said Mr. Daren Ching, Head of MINI Asia. Only 10 units of this special edition are available in Manila.
It packs a 2.0-liter, 178 hp 4-cylinder engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology, capable of 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. Offered in shimmering blue Caribbean Aqua or light Nanuq White, this special edition is set to be a hit among MINI enthusiasts.
“We hope that our loyal MINI family in the Philippines will receive this limited-edition model with Big Love and a warm welcome,” said Willy Tee Ten, president of MINI Philippines.
While the Seaside Edition focuses on top-down driving fun, the MINI Clubman Untold Edition comes with its own set of unique features. Like the Seaside Edition, the Clubman Untold Edition houses a 2.0-litre, 178 hp 4-cylinder engine and has a 7-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. However, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 228 km/h.
Tee Ten expressed his enthusiasm for the new model, stating: “The MINI Clubman Untold Edition is inspired by Big Love — this open-hearted spirit, the motivation to constantly innovate, and the ability to see beauty in individuality.”
Where the MINI Convertible embraces the freedom of open-air driving, the MINI Clubman Untold Edition offers an unparalleled balance between sportiness and sophistication.
Its Sage Green metallic paintwork and exclusive design elements echo its versatility and stylish nature. The Clubman also offers a unique body concept with split doors at the rear, lending it both an extravagant appearance and a high degree of functionality.
Both vehicles come packed with advanced technology. A camera-based Driving Assistant system is standard on each, increasing safety by recognizing and reporting speed limits.
Other notable features include Park Distance Control with sensors at the rear, rear-view cameras, and cruise control with braking function. For connectivity, both models offer a MINI navigation system and Apple CarPlay.
On the other hand, the Untold Edition flaunts 18-inch alloy wheels in a Jet Black/Refined Brass combination, with dark green surrounds on its lower body sections — a first for the Clubman series. Inside, both models are a feast for the senses without overwhelming them.
The Seaside Edition greets you with door sills adorned with two white stripes and Seaside lettering, while the Clubman Untold Edition features light-colored seams and piping on its Sage Green sports seats.
When it comes to environmental credentials, the Clubman Untold Edition seems to have a slight edge, boasting lower average fuel consumption of 6.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 141 g/km, compared to the Seaside Edition’s 7.1 l/100 km and 162 g/km, respectively.
