Far Eastern University stakes its unbeaten slate against an equally streaking College of Saint Benilde in a highly-charged duel highlighting the four-game bill in the V-League Women’s Collegiate Challenge at the Paco Arena in Manila today.
After racking up four victories in convincing fashions to gain a share of the lead with idle University of the East, the Lady Tamaraws gear up for a stern test against the Lady Blazers in the 12 p.m. clash, ushering in the last three playdates in the single-round eliminations of the tournament organized by Sports Vision.
“Our focus is to take it one game at a time. We will work on and accomplish whatever in front of us,” FEU interim coach Manolo Refugia said.
“We will double our effort to improve our shortcomings in the previous games. We will work hard to prepare for Saint Benilde.”
Meanwhile, Lyceum of the Philippines University and Enderun Colleges tangle at 10 a.m. in the first women’s clash.
In men’s play, De La Salle University seeks to bounce back from a five-set setback to National University as it faces Emilio Aguinaldo College at 2 p.m. while FEU and San Beda collide in the 4 p.m. main encounter.
The Green Spikers blew a 2-0 against the defending champions as Leo Aringo and Michaelo Buddin stepped up and rallied the Bulldogs to a 19-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 15-11 decision.
