The stars came out Sunday in the most important game of the FIBA World Cup as Dennis Schroder of Germany and Bogdan Bodanovic engaged in a shootout at the Mall of Asia.
In the end, it was Schroder and his supporting cast were able to get the job done as the Germans completed a perfect run to the throne all the way to winning the FIBA World Cup since the event started in 1950 after scoring an 83-77 triumph over Serbia.
The eight-game winning streak was accomplished by Germany on their way to ruling the tournament.
Germany was about to put away Serbiany establishing its first sizable lead off a nice fees to Frantz Wagner that gave the Germans a 64-53 lead with still more than two minutes left in the third period.
Schroder, the star point guard for the Toronto Raptors in the NBA, beat his man to the dribble on an isolation as he delivered the knockout blow with a lay up with still 21 seconds left.

Schroder led the way with 28 points, but got solid support from Frant Wagner, who tallied 19 markers on top of seven rebounds and three steals.
Johaness Voigtmann also had a solid game with 12 points and eight boards.
