Bethesda’s latest video game Starfield has received a rock-solid review from one of the pillars in the gaming industry in God of War director David Jaffe.
Starfield, an ARPG (action role-playing game) in development for the last five years, was officially released last week.
The game received rave reviews from gamers, critics, streamers, and content creators alike, but the biggest one yet was from Jaffe himself.
“I am console agnostic, you all know that,” Jaffe said in a tweet.
“A great game is a great game. I say this because if you love games as well and do not have an Xbox, you owe it to yourself to get a Game Pass for a month and try out Starfield (even if just using cloud). It is easily one of my top 3 games of all time.”
Starfield, an available title for Xbox and PC via Steam, takes place in a space and can be toggled between a first-person and third-person shooter. It is also in an open-world setting backed by an excellent storyline with many of the player’s interactions being with NPC (non-playable characters).
Just like any ARPG game, Starfield allows players to explore builds and do a deep dive in open space piloting their own spacecraft matched with fighting other spaceships.
Once you get off your ride, players will also get to point and shoot various alien enemies throughout the game.
According to Jaffe, who is renowned for his God of War masterpiece, player reviews may vary but it is nevertheless a must-play title.
“Now your mileage will vary of course, but if in the past you have found yourself realizing your taste and mine are similar enough, do not let this childish console war nonsense keep you away from this brilliant thing. If you love one-player action adventures, you owe it to yourself,” Jaffe stressed.
