Filipinas start Asian Games with 3-1 win vs. Hong Kong

The Filipinas delivered a 3-1 win over Hong Kong to begin their campaign in the 19th Asian Games at the Wenzhou Sports Center Stadium in Wenzhou, China.

Sarina Bolden opened the scoring for the Philippines with a penalty in the eighth minute before Hong Kong’s Chueng Wai Ki in the 38th minute.

Quinley Quezada broke the deadlock in the 89th minute and Katrina Guillou went on to score another goal two minutes later.

The Filipinas now hold a 1-0-0 win-draw-loss record and gave new head coach Mark Torcaso his first win as head coach.

Up next for the Philippine team is South Korea on 25 September at the same venue.
