Juvic Pagunsan and Justin delos Santos turned in contrasting rounds Saturday in their respective hunt for a decent finish with just one round left in the ACN Championship at Sanko Golf Club Japan Course.

The 45-year-old Pagunsan sizzled with a 68 in the third round to take a share of 22nd place, eight strokes off the leader.

Pagunsan dished out his best round so far in the 100,000-yen tournament (or roughly P37.9 million) following a 73-70 in the first two days.

Delos Santos turned heads with a 63 on opening day but fell into hard times in the next two days (76-73) to come tied for 29th.

Shugo Imahara carded a 71 to keep a one-stroke lead over fellow Japanese Yuta Ikeda who shot a 68.

Imahara is at 13-under-par 203, while Ikeda was at 204 in the meet that dangles a champion purse worth 20,000,000 yen or about 7.69 million.
