Filipino Miguel Tabuena tried to stay close to the leaders on Saturday, firing a 66 with one round left in the Asian Tour’s SJM Macau Open at the Macau Golf and Country Club.
Tabuena’s efforts placed tied him for seventh place with a three-day output of 12-under 201, tying two others including Taichi Ko of Hong Kong who also turned in a 66.
It was the second 66 by Tabuena who made that output in the opening round before a 69 on Friday in the $1 million tournament.
Min Woo Lee of Australian remains in the driver’s seat at 20-under with still five holes left for him to play in late Saturday’s third round.
Justin Quiban faltered with a 74 to share 46th place with at five-under.
