Blacklist holds head high

SOCIAL MEDIA

Three-time Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines champion Blacklist International is holding its head up high following a second-place finish at the recent Season 12.

A mix of fresh and familiar faces, great odds were stacked against Blacklist when its power duo of Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie James “Wise” del Rosario announced that they are skipping the season.

Still, Blacklist rallied to the grand finals of the tournament and qualified for the M5 World Championship to make a historic three-straight appearances.

“I am very proud. Only a few said that we will make it to the finals because we are like a new team with Hadji and Oheb coming off a break,” Blacklist coach Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani said.

“I am just so proud even though we did not get the championship. It does not hurt because we gave our best. I have no regrets, I am just proud.”

For now, Blacklist plans to regroup and prepare for its third stint in representing the Philippines on the world stage, this time together with Season 12 champion AP Bren.

For Master the Basics, their run was one of those instances where losing is actually winning.
