Two-time Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines champion AP Bren will rekindle its rivalry with a familiar foe in the group stage of the M5 World Championship set from 2 to 17 December in Manila.
AP Bren was grouped with Team Flash and Burmese Ghouls of Myanmar in Group C — the same team it battled in the grand finals of M2, where it emerged victorious following a hard-fought 4-3 decision to claim the world title in 2021.
Their showdown is set on 2 December at 2 p.m.
One more team will join AP Bren, Team Flash and Burmese Ghouls. The spot will be awarded to the winner of the Wild Card stage that will run from 23 to 26 November in Jio Space in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, MPL Season 12 runner-up Blacklist International was drawn in Group B with Fire Flux Esports of Turkey, RRQ Akira of Brazil, and one more qualifier from the Wild Card stage.
Filling Group A are Bigetron Sons of Brazil, ONIC Esports of Indonesia, See You Soon of Cambodia, and Triple Esports of Saudi Arabia.
Group D will be composed of Deus Vult of Russia, Geek Fam Indonesia of Indonesia, HomeBois of Malaysia, and TheOhioBrothers of the United States.
Brandishing the highest prize pool yet in competitive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, the 16 teams from around the world vie for the lion’s share of $900,000 — or around P50 million.
