Kenneth Llover scored a 12-round unanimous decision over one-time world title challenger Edward Heno to bag the World Boxing Council Asia Continental bantamweight title Saturday night in General Trias, Cavite.
Nicknamed “Lover Boy,” Llover won by scores of 116-12 on the scorecards of Tony Comia, Robert Bridges and Oliver Garcia.
Jerrold Tomeldan was the third man in the ring.
Two-division world champion Gerry Peñalosa put up the card.
The victory boosted Llover’s record to 11-0 -0 with seven knockouts while the loss — his third straight — dropped Heno’s slate to 15-4-6 with five wins inside the distance.
