SOCIAL MEDIA

Legado Motors, the country’s official distributor of the Dongfeng brand of passenger vehicles, recently partnered with some of the country’s leading automotive groups to bolster its expansion plans.

The collaboration with Autohub Group, Diamond Motors, Hino Parts, Autoflare and Dreamcar Unlimited, will help Legado Motors (which recently marked its fifth year in the business) get the necessary expertise, network and support in bringing Dongfeng’s eco-friendly, affordable and highly-efficient EV mobility options to the market.

Luis Chavit Singson, Legado Motors chair, said the company is proud to be at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution in the Philippines. “Our partnership with Dongfeng Motors aligns perfectly with our vision of affordable and sustainable mobility. We are confident that these models will be well-received by the Filipino people.”

The Dongfeng brand aims to cater to the evolving needs and preferences of Filipino consumers. During a recent dealer conference, Dongfeng showcased three of its vehicles: the Nano Box, Aeolus Huge, and Forthing Friday.

Three models

The Chinese automaker believes that these three models exemplify Dongfeng’s commitment to come up with innovative, stylish, and reliable vehicles for the Filipino consumers.

Dongfeng’s Nano Box is specifically designed for city driving as the small, pure electric SUV provides a compact yet spacious interior that is ideal for those looking for vehicles with a sleek design and impressive driving range (a full charge would enable one to drive 351 kilometers between charging).

Priced at P888,000, the Nano Box will surely be a popular choice among Filipinos who value practicality, style and zero emissions.

If you’re looking for a mid-size SUV that combines elegance with efficiency, the Aeolus Huge Hybrid would be a good choice. With a price tag of P1.880 million, this vehicle offers an impressive hybrid powertrain for a seamless driving experience.

A vehicle perfect for people who love to travel long distances is the Forthing Friday. Priced at P2.58 million, this pure electric vehicle represents the future of sustainable automotive solutions with an impressive driving range of 630 km.

According to Singson, these vehicles are a testament to Dongfeng Motors’ dedication to meeting the diverse needs and preferences of Filipino consumers, providing them with top-of-the-line vehicles that combine innovation, style and reliability.

Alongside these initial units, plans of bringing other current and leading models to the country are already in the pipeline.
