Foton has inaugurated its 25th dealership with newly opened Foton GMA Cavite even as it unveiled its new AT variants of Thunder pickup, Traveller and Toano.
Foton Motor Philippines Inc. recently inaugurated their newest dealership in GMA Cavite. Operated by Frontier Automotive Marilao Corporation, the GMA Cavite showroom and service center is the second Foton dealership for FAMC, the first one being in Marilao, Bulacan.
Foton GMA Cavite is Foton’s 25th dealership in the country. The new showroom is located along Governor’s Drive, Brgy. Gavino Maderan, GMA, Cavite.
The momentous event was graced by GMA Cavite Vice Mayor Percival Cabuhat, FMPI Chairman Rommel Sytin, FMPI General Manager Levy Santos, as well as Foton International Deputy General Manager Leric Ding, FOTON International HDT Sales Manager Yao Zilong, and Foton International PV Sales Manager Henry Han.
Foton GMA Cavite can fit three of the brand’s passenger and commercial vehicles in its spacious showroom. On display during the inauguration were the new Traveller X passenger van, Thunder pickup truck, and the Toano premium van. There is also a guest room with a comfortable couch and a TV for those waiting for their FOTON to be serviced.

Apart from the new showroom, FMPI also unveiled the updated Traveller X, Thunder, and Toano, all three of which now come with an available automatic transmission.
Aside from the new automatic transmission variants, there are also added bits to each vehicle. The Traveller X gets a bigger grille along with its 6-speed automatic, and its 16 seats all have separate reclining backrests and 3-point seatbelts. It also comes with a spritely engine that makes 135 hp and 330 Nm of torque. SRP is at P1,700,000.
Things are more plush with the new Toano premium van that’s now available with four 6-way-adjustable lounge chair-style seats and the aforementioned automatic transmission. The Toano van has a retail price of P2,990,000. Also available is the Thunder 4×4 pickup truck that is now available with an 8-speed automatic transmission, along with front, side, and curtain airbags. Retail price for the Thunder 4×4 AT to be announced.
