Three-time MPL PH champion Blacklist International scored its first win at the M5 World Championship following a 2-0 sweep over Brazil’s RRQ Akira this Sunday evening at EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.
Composed of Edward, OHEB, Renejay, Yue, and Sensui, Blacklist International made easy work of RRQ Akira in Game 1, defeating their foes in a matter of 11 minutes. The Brazilians fought with everything they got in Game 2 but still fell short against the M3 world champion losing the series in a hotly contested 28-minute matchup.
The win placed Blacklist International on top of Group B with Fire Flux Esports with both teams having two points. The Filipinos will face Malaysia’s Team SMG tomorrow and then Fire Flux Esports on Thursday, 7 December.
