The M5 Mobile Legends World Championship is shaping up to be the best one yet in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competitive history.
With 22 teams competing from around the world with the highest prize pool in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang professional history with $900,000, or nearly P50 million, the tournament formally commenced last Saturday at the EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.
The Group Stage will run until Thursday while the Knockout Stage will take place from 9 to 17 December at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.
Moonton Games Esports Marketing manager Harry Leonardo believes that this installment of the M-Series will be the most successful one yet.
“The M5 World Championship will be the most, if not the most memorable event in MLBB Esports history with the Philippines hosting while also defending its world title. We are excited to show our global fans the Filipinos’ way of showcasing its strengths in Esports,” Leonardo said.
Since M2, the Philippines has won every M-Series World Championship starting with Bren Esports, Blacklist in M3, and ECHO in M4. The current Philippine representatives battling in the tournament right now are Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines Season 12 champion AP Bren and runner-up Blacklist International.
