Mac Tallo will be out indefinitely for Converge in the ongoing Commissioner’s Cup of the Philippine Basketball Association.
FiberXers governor Archen Cayabyab told Daily Tribune that the Cebuano hotshot had been placed on the injured list to give him more time to recover from a left knee injury that has been bothering him in their past few games.
In the FiberXers’ 98-99 loss to Phoenix Super LPG last 2 December at the Philsports Arena, Tallo played only 12 minutes and scored three points.
Converge is scheduled to play NorthPort on Wednesday in a bid to finally break into the win column of the season-opening conference.
But Cayabyab said Tallo will not be around after he aggravated a patellar tear in their previous game against the Fuel Masters.
“It was during that game that he aggravated his injury,” Cayabyab said, referring to the 29-year-old Tallo who averaged seven points, 2.6 rebounds and two assists per game in 21.3 minutes of action in the early stretch of the conference.
“We’ll put him on the injured list and he will go rehab so that he can play 100 percent.”
