Carsome, Southeast Asia’s largest integrated car e-commerce platform, recently launched its “Paskong Panalo Promo” to thank Filipino used-car buyers who have been very supportive of its young operation in the Philippines.

The Malaysia-based Carsome has innovated the used-car market through data and technology, becoming a household brand not only in Malaysia but also in Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore.

Providing Filipino consumers with an alternative to buying and selling their used car, Carsome Certified Philippines Inc. said the raffle promo is set to entice the market as there will be 13 winners to be drawn in 10 January 2024.

Ten winners will receive a gift certificate worth P5,000 each; two winners will be treated to an overnight stay at Escala Tagaytay while the grand winner will enjoy a four-day, three-night trip to Malaysia complete with accommodation.

The “Paskong Panalo Promo” is open for all Filipino buyers who will purchase a car from Carsome until 31 December 2023.

“To join the ‘Paskong Panalo Promo,’ simply purchase a car from Carsome within the promo period and register via QR code, providing your name, home address, contact number, and email address. This is our way of thanking the Philippine market with our grand-prize winner enjoying the best vacation in Malaysia as we have prepared an exciting itinerary,” promised Alan Cheah, country manager of Carsome Certified Philippines.

The promo was made possible with the support of the Embassy of Malaysia through its Ambassador, Dato’ Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino bin Anthony. “We welcome Carsome here in the Philippines as its presence here would surely elevate end-to-end used-car buying and selling experience.”

Carsome has grown into the region’s largest used car e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia either by transaction volume or value, selling more than 18,000 cars per month, which totals more than $1.7 billion.

“Finding a trustworthy pre-owned car is never easy, especially when you have to spend a lot of time and effort in order to make sure the used car you’re buying is safe, comfortable, and quality guaranteed. At Carsome, we aim to provide Filipino buyers with the new standard of purchasing used cars by delivering absolute peace of mind throughout the entire buying process” assured Carlo Martel Medina, senior marketing manager of Carsome Certified Philippines.

Medina explained that every Carsome Certified car has to pass the stringent 175-point inspection to ensure its roadworthiness and to make sure that it has not been involved in major accidents, incurred fire or flood damage as well as the assurance that its mileage was not tampered with.

“When it comes to the buying process, it is worry-free as well, because Carsome offers end-to-end assistance every step of the way, including helping with a buyer’s car booking, paperwork, loan application, and even doorstep delivery,” explained Medina.

For those planning to sell their car at Carsome Certified Philippines, the company said it also wants to make the selling journey hassle-free.

“You have the option to sell your car directly or trade it in for another car from our wide selection. Once your car is checked by our professional inspectors, we will now be able to provide you with the final offer, which is the best price based on your car’s condition and market value. If everything is okay you will get paid within hours. That’s how easy it is to transact with us,” Cheah said.

Celebrating its 8th year off the back of around 300,000 completed transactions since inception, and millions of customers served through its platform, Carsome has brought trust, choice and transparency to the market it is operating, according to Cheah.

“The listed price on our website is the final price, without any hidden fees, so you know exactly how much you are paying for the car.”

Carsome was founded by Malaysians Eric Cheng and Jiun Ee Teoh, who decided to find a worry-free used car-buying experience. It became Malaysia’s first unicorn (a privately held startup company with a value of over $1 billion).
