Biñan and Nueva Ecija hurdled their respective rivals with ease to stay unbeaten in the PSL President’s Cup.
Nueva Ecija flexed its muscles over Novaliches, 96-74, with second stringer Bobby Balucanag unusually presiding on his team’s offense.
Balucanag, a high-leaping forward, finished with 15 points while also pulling down six rebounds and picking up a steal.
Backing up Balucanag is Emman Calo, who poured in 12 markers for the Capitals, who posted their seventh straight win in this tournament.
“From our first to the third group, we were able to sustain our effort,” said Nueva Ecija coach Jerson Cabiltes.
Biñan posted its straight win in the tournament, this after Tatak Gel dumped CV Siniloan, 92-61.
Joseph Peñaredondo once again led the offensive onslaught of Tatak Gel as he ended up with 15 markers on a 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
Pamboy Raymundo and Jun Jun Hallare each wound up with 11 markers while Jeymar Gimpayan went a rebound away from a double-double performance as he posted 10 points and nine rebounds for Biñan.
Reynel Hugnatan came out of retirement to play for MisOr and immediately, the 6-foot-4 forward made an impact and scored 10 points, including two triples.
